Sustainable Agriculture and Fair Trade Conference
Feb 15 - 17 at UC Santa Cruz

The California Student Sustainability Coalition and United Students for Fair Trade present the largest 2008 Pacific Northwest conference for high school and college students. This groundbreaking conference will provide the means to:

  • Develop and strengthen inter-school connections and collaboration in order to deepen and expand the sustainable food and the fair trade movement
  • Increase the number of skilled, knowledgeable and confident youth leaders in the western United States.
  • Broaden the scope of the convergence to integrate fair trade and sustainable food-based initiatives in an effort to foster new alliances and partnerships toward creating more just and sustainable communities and institutions.
  • Form relationships, light fires, and have fun.

Slow Food Nation Town Hall

Non-profits are invited to Slow Food Nation Town Hall to determine how they will all connect on Changemakers Day, a day-long convention at Slow Food Nation for organizations that work on social justice, environmental, education and food acccess issues. Sustainable Seafood Dinner
Thu, Feb 21, 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at FISH in Sausalito

Marin Organic invites you to join them for a local seafood feast, featuring crab, oysters, clams, mussels and more. The evening will benefit the Marin Organic Salmon Safe Program. Salmon Safe is a certification program designed to verify local producers' efforts in managing their operations with extra care for Marin's watersheds and helping in the return of Coho salmon and Steelhead trout to Marin County.
